South America Generative Programs Chile Generation Chon Aike Generation

Mirasol Resources Ltd. has a deliberate strategy of focusing its generative efforts on the Chon Aike epithermal province of Santa Cruz southern Argentina and select regions of the porphyry and epithermal belts of North Central Chile. These regions have a coincidence of good access, are mining friendly and have an established pedigree for producing a succession of world class gold, silver and copper deposits. These regions offer significant opportunities for further discovery of new precious metal deposits.

This “Generative focus" gives Mirasol a measurable competitive advantage gained from the wealth of in-house knowledge, extensive data base, discovery track record of its management team and the leverage from its association with Global Ore Discovery with its generative and remote sensing skills. Mirasol uses its extensive proprietary databases and rapidly moving reconnaissance teams of highly experienced national geologists to cost effectively, evaluate and secure quality mineral targets.

The Chon Aike Generative program is focused the Jurassic age Chon Aike Volcanics in the southern Argentine province of Santa Cruz.  Mirasol holds an extensive portfolio of 100% owned gold-silver projects in Santa Cruz. The gold and silver potential of Santa Cruz lay unrecognized until 1989 until the discovery of the giant Cerro Vanguardia Vein Field, one of the world’s largest vein camps.  The flow of discoveries that followed has established Santa Cruz as one of the world’s most prolific low sulphidation epithermal gold-silver mineral provinces ( Click Here for Illustration ). There are four gold and silver mines in Santa Cruz operated by large international and mid-tier precious metal companies. Members of Mirasol's management team are recognized as frontier explorers in Santa Cruz and credited with the discovery of the Cerro Negro gold district (1.5  Moz gold and 17.3 Moz silver)and the large Navidad silver deposit( 751 Moz silver) in the adjacent province of Chubut, both are currently in resource drill out stage by competitors.

Chile Tertiary Generative Program is centred on two regions of North Central Chile, which hosts some of the world’s largest porphyry copper and epithermal gold and silver mines. Target regions were selected on the basis of Mirasol's "Arc Gap" concept, where extensive geological framework studies revealed gold and silver-rich signatures of known deposits, along with prospective geology, define gaps in mineral belts that indicate potential for undiscovered deposits. The Tertiary generative program gives Mirasol exposure to districts hosting a range of large tonnage gold, silver and copper deposits that are attractive targets for major international mining houses. Initial results from this program permitted Mirasol to secure the wholly-owned Rubi copper-gold porphyry project located 20 km southwest of Codelco Chile’s El Salvador Cu-Au porphyry (historical 12.2 M tonnes copper and 3.2 Moz gold) and nearby Potrerillos smelter. This program levers off over 50 years of combined exploration experience in Chile by Mirasol's Management team.
